Unbelievable why?

I, sadly, find it very very believable that the government is doing this.

And quite honestly, it will not matter what party is in office, we're still up a creek, heading towards a waterfall, and our government-issued paddle is made of chicken wire.

Thanks for the link.

Ditto for me. We (the poweres that be) never seem to learn, or care. I don't know how many times I've apologized for our nation to bloggers in other countries. The US invades other countries, bullies them around, then seems surprised when there's retaliation. (And please, I'm not attacking the US!) You reap what you sow, unfortunately, is what I'm trying to say!

I have a friend who runs an organic farm with her partner. She visited me unannounced whilst my hens were inside due to fears over H5N1 & she laughed at me ~ bird flu is being hyped out of control in the West because those in the US government have interests in so doing to raise their own incomes. In poor countries nothing can be wasted or starvation could ensue, so you eat dead meat. Here, who would willingly eat a bird that has died from whatever cause & not killed specifically for eating? Interesting thought from her.

Ireland is supposedly GM free, BUT my feed isn't, so my animals get GM food which then goes into the food chain (only eggs, but still that's an important foodstuff). I have an intolerance to pig meat ~ do they use pig DNA in plants? because I've been getting the severe pains I used to get from pig whilst eating a primarily veggie diet. GM frightens me, especially as some research has thrown up worrying results for the environment & what about those with severe allergies?

I wish that each country concentrated on providing food for its own with little left over, unless it's a commodity that can only be cultivated in very specific areas, like coffee, chocolate & tea (my desires!) & then only in quantities that are required. Meat being shipped across the world? That to me is stupid as so much could go wrong with the products.

blogger rejected me ~ it's still killi
